After the storm went by and with no news or nothing to do,
we decided to keep busy or go crazy. Some days I painted,
other days we got creative. In hard times like these, you can
stay home and be productive and fortunately we did not loose
much but light and sanity. I personally did not want to know
the complications the storm will bring, I wanted to keep my
faith intact, so i closed my ears during this horrible time and tried
to remain calm. We used daylight time for good use, we created
projects.
I began painting this bull since late september hoping to have
it all done by the end of october, I like to go slow with final
details, I don't like to rush. Because of the storm I had to put
a hold on this only because I work best at night, but here is a
picture of the start of it. I will post the finish piece soon.
Here is a few other projects my bf did. Luckily for him,
he is amazing at details. His projects are in a small scale
but the results are incredible. For halloween, he decided
to paint ants which are not as scary as spiders but on this
picture below they sure can be scary.
This is the raw version of the ant model (before)

Detailed paint work done (after)
and BOO HOOO! a scary ant
Below are some barrels he painted for a scenery
layout which I thought are perfectly real. The one
on the right is the (before) object.
and last but not least my miniature pumpkin
which I was just working with clay to keep my hands
warmer lol, it's funny now but it was a cold experience,
and it's not even winter, thank God the worst is over.
Although mother nature smacked us in the face,
we have to face reality and enjoy the simplicities
and necessities of life, which are air, food, water
heat and light, so many things we take for granted.
It is time to be wise and save for emergencies.
Hurricanes in the east coast are unheard of but it's
better to be prepared than to go through it all again.
LOVE, LIVE & BE HAPPY
Always take care of your family, your kids and
your pets, in situations like these we need to embrace
each other, love and feel the pains together. We can
only get stronger if we are all one.
Even though Sandy did not affect us so much,
my heart goes to the families who lost their families
and their their homes, God is by your side and help
is on the way.
