Love is the answer X O

The special valentine rituals

card + gift + dinner + movie
dinner + card + gift + dancing
dinner + card + spend the night in

whichever order sounds like a winner,
and luckily everyone had a great time.
Valentine only comes once a year
and it's a day for love, so why not
enjoy it by being extra special to
each other because L O V E is the answer
and without love, we are empty,
like plants without water.
So love and be loved, you are a
special someone to someone

Below are some of my Valentine quick creations
using clay and paint. (before and after)

Special Time, Special Place

Well it has been quite a ride this winter, with the weather's
ups and downs, warm and cold days.  It seems like the snow
wanted to get us but it passed us by and according to the
groundhog we have six more weeks til the first day of spring.
It's like he's the country's psychic  : D  let me think what else
can I ask him, will i travel this year?

During my escapes from cabin fever, fortunately I was
introduced to a very cozy pretty place, that you can indulge
yourself with unique beautiful gifts.  If I told you that
once you go in, you will fall in love with the way it's
decorated inside, and the service is exceptional, friendly
people, you don't see that anywhere. You've got to check
this place for yourself.  You can find this store in
Cold Spring Harbor, Long Island, NY.

Take a look at their site myfavoriteplaceltd.com/

below it's me enjoying a cold crispy day
 at Cold Spring Harbor.

This is me after I got my first cold of the year,
I have been home sick for weeks
but feeling better now and hope
to have a Valentine's post soon.

Please, share any of your favorite places :)

The Christmas Owls

Made of Clay

Here is a simple christmas project that makes everybody
feel happy with the results. Working with clay is great,
some come in many colors and others are plain but you
can paint over when finished. These little owls can be
christmas ornaments, party decorations and even used
as jewelry charms

Quick and easy process:
(be playful with the colors)

Aren't these cute? the one in the middle resembles me a lot :) These little owls
are going to decorate my christmas tree this year. The lights are bright and so are
these little ones.

 Enjoy creating :)

Sharing the Spirit of Christmas

It's Christmas time again and the lights are up and the tree is in.
This year, the feeling of christmas is more about being together
and being happy.  These couple of months have showed us that
material things come and go, but the motive to stay happy and
be together as a family is much more sacred.

May you have the gladness of Christmas which is hope;
The spirit of Christmas which is peace;
The heart of Christmas which is love.
~Ada Hendricks

It has become a ritual for us every christmas to run
a train layout under the christmas tree. It is a very
exciting time and we love it.  Here are some pictures
from this year's train layout my bf worked on, he is
really talented and a freak for perfection.

A tunnel in progress

An almost finished project, next step will be
adding nature (plants and trees) will post pics later

On this picture above, he created rocks made
of plaster and harmoniously painted them.

Here are the rocks done and pasted on to the top of the tunnel
This is going to be one of the many awesome train layouts,
I will definately post a video of this ART form in progress.
And now to my Arts and Crafts

A wooden Christmas tree, handpainted,
the nice patt of this, you can add xmas lights to it.
And my paper christmas tree, also handpainted.
I added festive christmas lights stick-ons,
it's the easiest craft anyone can do.
This is an easy project, this christmas make your own
ornaments, made of clay,  just punch a hole and
put a string on it, done!
This is my favorite one, creating a snowman and
my own shaped christmas tree (shown behind)
these are also made of air dry clay, next step
will be painting it. (will post pics when finished)

Cherish the holidays creating : )
and
Be Merry!

House Music People

My True Obssesion: House Music

How do you explain this feeling, absolutely
numbness in my ears, my eyes are hypnotized
and my body full of goosebumps.

The energy it brings to my body from my head
to my toes, it's vibrating thru me and just a few
seconds later, I'm dancing  :)

I guess I'm either  feeling good or I'm being extra crazy LOL
either way,  Djs know what I'm talking about...I hope.

During the Aftermath of Sandy

After the storm went by and with no news or nothing to do,
we decided to keep busy or go crazy.  Some days I painted,
other days we got creative.  In hard times like these, you can
stay home and be productive and fortunately we did not loose
much but light and sanity. I personally did not want to know
the complications the storm will bring, I wanted to keep my
faith intact, so i closed my ears during this horrible time and tried
to remain calm. We used daylight time for good use, we created
projects.

I began painting this bull since late september hoping to have
it all done by the end of october, I like to go slow with final
details, I don't like to rush. Because of the storm I had to put
a hold on this only because I work best at night, but here is a
picture of the start of it. I will post the finish piece soon.

Here is a few other projects my bf did. Luckily for him,
he is amazing at details. His projects are in a small scale
but the results are incredible. For halloween, he decided
to paint ants which are not as scary as spiders but on this
picture below they sure can be scary.

This is the raw version of the ant model (before)

Detailed paint work done (after)

and BOO HOOO! a scary ant

Below are some barrels he painted for a scenery
layout which I thought are perfectly real. The one
on the right is the (before) object.

and last but not least my miniature pumpkin
which I was just working with clay to keep my hands
warmer lol, it's funny now but it was a cold experience,
and it's not even winter, thank God the worst is over.

Although mother nature smacked us in the face,
we have to face reality and enjoy the simplicities
and necessities of life, which are air, food, water
heat and light, so many things we take for granted.
It is time to be wise and save for emergencies.
Hurricanes in the east coast  are unheard of but it's
better to be prepared than to go through it all again.

LOVE, LIVE & BE HAPPY
Always take care of your family, your kids and
your pets, in situations like these we need to embrace
each other, love and feel the pains together. We can
only get stronger if we are all one.

Even though Sandy did not affect us so much,
my heart goes to the families who lost their families
and their their homes, God is by your side and help
is on the way.
